„Polish-Jewish Studies”, vol. 4, Warszawa 2023, 504 s., ISSN 2956-9931, eISSN 2957-1421
This bilingual (Polish-English) annual journal is dedicated to the history of the Jewish community in 20th-century Poland, preserving the memory of Polish Jews and presenting the complexity of Polish-Jewish relations. As intended by the editors, the periodical serves as a forum for the exchange of current findings in the field of Jewish studies by researchers from various academic centres.
The papers collected in the fourth issue of the “Polish-Jewish Studies” are the result of the two academic conferences organised by the Institute of National Remembrance: „Czas okupacji i zniewolenia. Żydzi i Polacy w obliczu totalitaryzmów 1939–1956” („The Time of Occupation and Captivity. Jews and Poles Facing Totalitarisms 1939–1956”) and „Aktion »Reinhardt« i Zagłada polskich Żydów – w kręgu mechanizmów i sprawców” („Aktion »Reinhardt« and the Holocaust of the Polish Jews – in the Circle of the Mechanisms and Perpetrators”). The line of this volume is then set by the occupation topics and post-war settlements with the perpetrators of the crimes against the Jews. We also invite the readers to get acquainted with periodical’s Reviews/Polemics section, where the overviews and critical analysis of the widely discussed and noticeable publications on the Polish-Jewish relations under occupation are published.
The fourth volume of the periodical is available below, as well as in an electronic version in the Library.
